Description

This commemorative medal measures about 4.6 cm in diameter, was made manually in scale 1:1, without automated reduction processes and, subsequently, was reproduced in limited series and enriched by electro galvanization and finally brushed by hand.
The medal is shipped in a practical handmade blue velvet effect bag with a certificate that in addition to guaranteeing the authenticity shows the serial number.

Reported in three-dimensional form the representation of the Madonna and Child. Traditional subject of Christian iconography. The works inspired by this subject depict the Virgin Mary with baby Jesus, usually held in her arms. The theme of the Madonna and Child is one of the oldest in Christian art and was codified in the Middle Ages in the Byzantine area: the Madonna represented the Church, and Jesus, dressed as a small ancient philosopher, its founder. The various relationships between mother and child were therefore not linked to the intention of representing a realistic scene, but a symbolic one.

The reverse shows a depiction of the ejaculatory, a short non-liturgical prayer from the popular Christian tradition that is particularly prevalent in Catholicism, Sweet Heart of my Jesus.
