Description
This commemorative medal measures about 4.6 cm in diameter, was made manually in scale 1:1 without automated reduction processes and, subsequently, was reproduced in limited series and enriched by electro galvanization and finally brushed by hand.
The medal is shipped in a practical handmade blue velvet effect bag with a certificate that in addition to guaranteeing the authenticity shows the serial number.

Reported in three-dimensional form the representation of St. Peter’s Square. Located at the edge of the historic center of Rome, the square is part of the Vatican City and is bounded by the border with the Italian State. The famous square, a remarkable example of Baroque architecture and urban planning, is dedicated to the saint of the same name and is a daily meeting point for thousands of Catholic believers from all over the world.

The reverse shows a depiction of the Pontifical Swiss Guard. Armed corps for the protection of the Pontiff and his residence, created on January 22, 1506. It is the only corps of Swiss Guards still operational and is the oldest permanent corps in the world to have been in service for over five centuries without interruption. It serves at the Vatican City, but also during the Pope’s travels together with the security agents.
